I had this bracelet for sale over at Etsy. I had a very nice person contact me and ask me if I would be willing to donate it for a Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser, and of course I said yes. I knew it would be going into a basket that would be auctioned off so I thought I would decorate a box to put it in. Just thought I would share it ya'll...

Me, Sharon Stone and Pink
Ok so after clicking on this post you are probably thinking you'll see pictures of me with Sharon Stone and Pink....well not quite...it's more about just meee. On Thursday I am going to get my hair cut really really short so I thought I would do a little "before" post. I know that I love to read about hair, make-up and beauty so I thought I would share a little with you. I have had short hair most of my life, for the last couple months I have been trying to grow my hair out.....and I CAN"T TAKE IT!!!! First of all I live in SC land of humidity, second of all I have thick hair that unless I have lots of layers in it, it does nothing ----just a flat--no style kinda do. I am not the kinda gal that's scared of drastic I am always changing my hair color.
This is how it was at the beginning of the summer. This is my natural hair color.....
This was at the start of my "growing it out"...
Like I said I'm a drastic kinda girl... so here is now.
well it's a little longer now same color and style though.
I don't have a lot of pictures of myself because I have to take them!!!! (That's a whole other post).
So now is where Sharon Stone and Pink come in.
I always take this picture with me when I get my hair cut...I seriously have had this hair cut about 5 times....
I think she is sooooo beautiful I still love it and basically I am getting it again, well close to it... This is the picture I will be taking with me on Thursday...
It's Pink (the Singer). I love this... and I love her, everything about her!!!! She has always been my favorite female celebrity . She is someone I look at that really seems to be her own person.
I will be back on Thursday and hopefully will be loveing my hair. It helps that I love my hair stylist. Sooooo do you have any drastic hair changing experiences???? I would love to hear about them or even better see some pictures.....

3D Skeleton Head Altered Art on Canvas
It was late, everyone was in bed.... but not me I was awake and working on making more Halloween cuffs. I had pulled out a lot of my Halloween Decorations some to inspire me and some to rob of parts for my cuffs...This skeleton head just kept staring at me...then I got this idea that I wanted to attach her to a canvas.. That was as far as the thought went at that moment. Then over two days I just kept adding little pieces of jewelry and paper roses here and there...WAAAAA LAAAA this is what I ended up with... I must say I am quite pleased with how she turned out.
Now Introducing..........Grandma's Last Party............................
Now ,back to my cuffs....Thanks for stopping by.

Spooktacular Halloween Cuffs....
I just finished these two spooky cuffs, and I love them... I have lots more to come... I just had to show you a little peek. I know that all of my artist pals like LuLu Kellogg and Lisa of Pearl Avenue Studios are way ahead of me on "Halloween Art" but I'm getting there slowly..LOL. I hope you enjoy my cuffs and hope it makes you go dig all of your Halloween decorations out. Now I am off to finish up the rest of my cuffs for my Etsy Shop.

Garage Sale Mirror Redo...
Several months ago I bought this YELLOW GOLD mirror. I hung it in my foyer thinking if I painted my sconces to match it I would like it better.......Well I didn't so I painted it now I love it.
Here is a before pic... Remember this pic from my coffee filter wreath tutorial???? The mirror does't look all that BRIGHT here but believe me it was.
The base color is called "warm grey" I bought it at Lowes. It is a nice off white it has no grey hue to it at all.
Then with a little decrotive painting this is what I ended up with. I love it now. I used a really bright reddish pink, and then "washed" it with black to tone it down.

A little Twist on Coffee Filter Wreath...DIY
OK I know what your saying... Not the coffee filter wreath tutorial again. I know you see this on a ton of sites but I did mine a little different. I made this over the weekend- not because I had spare time but because I needed a little something fast and easy to hang on my mirror, so here it is..
I used "natural" Coffee filters and wreath from the Dollar Tree.
Covered the wreath with Brown ribbon. I kept my filters their original size, you can trim them down if you want a smaller wreath. I hot glued about three at a time on.
I hot glued a bird nest into the center, I used card stock and printed out, vintage bird postcard and collage sheet of eggs.( Thank you to the Graphics Fairy.)
I put "NEST" using stickers on the eggs, I mod podged the eggs, Just because I think it makes the color pop a little better and hot glued "craft sticks" on the back of them. You could use what ever you have on hand such as tooth picks etc.
Stuck them in the nest and added a little hot glue for extra support.
Then I hot glued a little Spanish moss and waaaa laaa.
This is the back, and I looped a ribbon through the wreath so I could hang it on my mirror.

This is so fast and easy and the possibilities are endless. I hope you enjoy making yours.
If you get creative please show me yours I would love to see!!!!!
